My next Big Project
I've always had a fascination with toys and taking photographs of them, and wanting to make them look like they were in real environments, starting back as a kid with my "World's Greatest Superheroes" Mego's.
My having fun creating images in photoshop for this site has followed it's natural progression to me wanting to do entire photo-shoots with the dolls, (as seen so far in the "Mission to Sirius" story here with the Daleks, and the Auton mini-comic).

The "Mission to Sirius" segment was an impromptu spur-of-the-moment experiment, (and one story I may finish someday) but I was thrilled with how it turned out. The Auton story only egged me on farther.

Now I know the next thing I do will have to be a huge, sprawling, drawn-out, full-length Mego Doctor Who photo-comic.

If I can pull this off like I imagine, it's going to be pretty extensive in production (expecially since this is all done here by myself!)

Inspiration
Detailed dioramas like this Games Workshop one by Mike McVey have inspired me to want to do this for my 9" Doctor Who dolls.
  My next big 'Who project...
To make the photo comic, I'm setting myself some guide lines-
I don't want it to look cheesy or shlocky (even though, admitedly, I am using dolls). I want it to look really "high-end", and I want to construct actual wicked science fiction sets and interiors for it. I also want to avoid using photo shop for the sets as much as possible.

I've been pretty happy with the kind of dynamic shots I've been taking in the Mini Comics, and want to continue that trend.

But, just so you know, this is going to take time to finish if I'm going to do it right, mainly because it's all being done by myself.
I've gotta buy and make supporting character dolls to round out the cast, build and construct everything, LEARN to build everything, (Thank goodness for "Niub Niub's Universe" and Sean Huxter's "GI Joe Adventure Team" sites for guidance on TARDIS Control Room building,) all the while working my normal job, work on a writing career, and doing other things for the site, blah-blah-blah.
If anyone out there thinks it might be a bit of fun to help out contribute with some of the 3-D computer scenes, that would rock, because not only am I sure there are a zillion people out there more talented than me that can make this look great, I actually don't have any 3-D computer knowledge at all! E-mail me!
Hopefully the end results will be worth it. :)

Help the site!
Got a crap Mego Dalek missing an eyepiece and a cracked body? Gonna throw him out? Hey, he'll look just great in the background of a battle scene over here!
Got a naked Cyberman with only three tubes and no leg? Box him up! Sounds like cannon fodder! I can still use him to dress up a scene!
Mad that your brother stole your girlfriend? He has those really expensive, pristine Doctor Who dolls on his shelf that are the prize of his collection, doesn't he? I think that bastard needs to be taught a BIG lesson. Break out the stamps and send them to me!

Mego Doctor Who kindly offers a charity service where we, at no risk to animals, are willing to accept your unwanted/unloved Denys Fisher Mego Doctor Who dolls for the use of "artistic creation" and dressing up our pictures.

Of course, We're willing to take perfectly fine ones too, but ya know, fat chance on that, right? :)

This has been a public service announcement from MDW. We now return you to your original programming.

Cat Creature on the Prowl
You can count on some of Stan Winston's "Realm of the Claw" creatures to show up soon. If only the Mego Leela was more articulated to stage some nasty she-fights!
